Aamir Khan was attacked by a chimpanzee during Ishq shoot, Ajay Devgn saved his life: ‘He started shouting bachao, bachao’
Aamir Khan recalled how he was attacked by an irate chimpanzee on Ishq sets and Ajay Devgn saved his life at the last minute.

Bollywood icons Aamir Khan and Ajay Devgn were the special guests at the mahurat of the upcoming film, Tera Yaar Hoon Main. They graced the occasion as a mark of respect and love for filmmaker Indra Kumar whose son Aman is making his debut with the film. Notably, Aamir and Ajay shared screenspace in Indra Kumar’s 1997 comedy, Ishq, which also starred Kajol and Juhi Chawla.
Talking about the fond memories of the film, Ajay said it was high time they worked on another Ishq film. “We don’t meet often but whenever we do meet, I feel a lot of warmth and love from Ajay,” said Aamir, who reminded Ajay about the wildlife experience they had while shooting for Ishq.
Narrating the incident, Aamir said, “During filming a sequence in Ishq, a chimpanzee started to attack me.” Adding his perspective to the anecdote, Ajay pointed out that it was Aamir who provoked the chimpanzee. “He was spraying water on chimpanzee, and then he started running around screaming ‘Bachao Bachao’,” said the Singham Again actor.
Aamir quickly pointed out that Ajay’s skills in action came in handy during this incident. “He saved me by pulling me out of a moving car,” said the PK actor much to the laughter of the audience.
Directed by Milap Milan Zaveri, Tera Yaar Hoon Main also stars Paresh Rawal and Akanksha Sharma. While Ajay was most recently seen in Singham Again, Aamir is gearing up for the release of Sitaare Zameen Par.
