12th Fail actor Medha Shankr says she is very similar to Shraddha Joshi, reveals she took copious notes when she met IRS officer: ‘This was planned in a divine manner’

Medha Shankr said that when she spoke to Shraddha, they both realised that they shared similar world views. “For some very strange surreal reason, every time we would talk, we would have the same world views. And even today, we talk and laugh about it, that this really was a thing planned in a divine manner because we are very similar people when it comes to our thoughts,” she said.

Medha said that she watched a lot of YouTube videos of UPSC students to understand the kind of pressure that they go through and also went through many workshops with Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Vikrant Massey. “The character that you see in the film, there is a lot of Medha in it. Because sir was very clear that you don’t have to imitate, you have to get inspired by the character and make your own. So there’s a lot of Shradhha ma’am, Medha and a lot of Vidhu sir’s interpretation of Shraddha,” she said.

Medha Shankr has been widely praised for her work in 12th Fail, which is now streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar.
