WBJEE 2024 today; check exam day guidelines

WBJEE 2024: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) will be conducted on April 28. The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) released the admit cards for the exam on April 18, which is available at the official website — wbjeeb.nic.in.

Candidates should remember to carry their WBJEE 2024 admit cards to the exam center as students will only be allowed to enter the premises after first producing the hall ticket and an identity card. Paper I (Mathematics) will be conducted from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, and  Paper II (Physics and Chemistry) will be conducted from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

For the smooth conduct of the exam, the board has released guidelines on the official website – wbjeeb.nic.in which the candidates are required to follow on the exam day.

Exam Day Guidelines

1. Candidates are advised to reach the examination centers at least 30 minutes before commencement of the test

2. No candidate will be allowed to sit for the test in any center other than the one allotted to him/her and as is mentioned in the admit card

3. Carry the following documents to enter the examination center:

– Any photo identity card in original such as Aadhaar card/PAN card/Passport/voter card/10th standard admit card/School ID card.

– A copy of colored photograph as was uploaded during online application.

4. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination center beyond the scheduled time of commencement of the test for each half under any circumstances.

5. Candidates are not allowed to carry any written or printed material, calculator, pen, log table, wristwatch, any communication device like mobile phones, any blue tooth device etc. inside the examination hall. Any candidate found with prohibited such items will be reported against and his/her candidature will be summarily cancelled.

6. No discussion will be allowed with the invigilator regarding any question

7. If any examinee is found impersonating, he/she will be handed over to the police and candidature of the original candidate will be cancelled outright.

In exam, questions are to be answered on a specially designed optical machine-readable response (OMR) sheet, which will be evaluated by the Optical Mark Recognition method. Thus, candidates need to follow the correct method of marking. Candidates will fill in their response by darkening the appropriate circle/bubble completely with blue/black ink ballpoint pen, no other mark will be considered.

 Those who appear in both paper 1 and paper 2 are eligible for both a General Merit Rank (GMR) as well a Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR). Such candidates are considered for admission in all courses. Those appearing only in paper 2 are eligible for PMR only. Such candidates are considered for admission into Pharmacy courses only (except in Jadavpur University). Students appearing only in paper 1 are not eligible for any rank.

After the WBJEE 2024 exam, model answer keys will be available for a limited period on the board’s website. Candidates will be able to log in, and view the model answer keys, and raise objections.
