WBCHSE Board Class 12th Result: The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) declared the Class 12 HS result on May 8. Students will be able to check their scorecards at the official website – wbchse.wb.gov.in. In the result declared today, East Medinipur topped among all the districts. The overall pass percentage this year is 90 per cent for all the streams combined. Students will be able to view and download their Class 12 West Bengal board exam results from the official website - wbchse.wb.gov.in from 3 pm. The hardcopies of the mark sheets and pass certificates will be available from 55 distribution centres including the four regional offices of the Council all over West Bengal from May 10. Last year, the result was declared on May 24, for the exams which were conducted between March 14 to March 27, and before that, the result was declared on June 10, for the exams conducted between February 15 to April 27. This year, the board conducted the HS exam between February 16 to February 29. The board exam for Class 12 was conducted at over 2,675 examination centers in the state. The board officials also made surprise visits to the exam centers as a measure to check the instances of cheating and using unfair means. In 2023, the pass percentage in WB Class 12 exam was 89.25. In 2022, the West Bengal government announced the cancellation of class 10 and 12 exams due to the rise in Covid-19 cases in the state. A special evaluation criterion was formed to calculate the class 12 results. Of the 8,19,202 candidates who were to appear for in last year’s class 12 board exams, 97.69 per cent had passed. The pass percentage was 97.70 per cent among both boys and girls. Students will also have the option to request photocopies of their answer booklets and OMR sheets. After the announcement of the WBBSE HS class 12 results, students who fail to clear the exams will be able to appear for the WB Board compartment exams. Information about the compartmental exams will be announced after the WBCHSE result declaration.
