UPSC CSE 2024: UPSC personality test date revised

UPSC CSE 2024: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has revised the personality test scheduled for February 5. Now, the UPSC CSE 2024 personality test set to be held on February 5, will be conducted on February 8. The decision comes amid the notification of Delhi Assembly elections.

The UPSC CSE 2024 interviews or the personality tests have already started from January 7. As many as 2,845 candidates have been shortlisted for the interview stage. The UPSC CSE exam is held in three phases – prelims, mains and interview. While the UPSC CSE 2024 prelims exam was conducted on June 16, the CSE mains UPSC exam was held on September 20, 21, 22, 28 and 29. Candidates cleared the mains are called for an interview and personality test round. The personality test round will continue till April 17, 2025.

The UPSC official websites – upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in have made the detailed schedule available for the interview. 

The Commission seeks to fill over 1,000 vacancies through the 2024 recruitment process. Candidates who score above the cut-off marks will be recruited to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and other central services and posts. As many as 1,056 vacancies have been announced for CSE 2024 and 150 in IFoS. The number of vacancies have seen a drop from last year.
