UPSC Civil Services Prelims Admit Card 2024: The Union Public Service Commission has released the admit card for the Civil Services preliminary exam 2024. All those candidates who have applied for the examination can download their respective hall tickets from the official website — upsc.gov.in.

Steps to download admit card online, visit the official website — upsc.gov.in, click on the notification for the admit card of the UPSC CSE prelims 2024, enter the required details in the fields provided and submit, download the admit card, and take a printout for further reference.

The admit card includes the exam centre, date and time for the examination along with candidate’s name, name and year of the examination, registration ID, roll number, complete postal address (as provided in the application form by the candidates), important instructions to follow during the exam, and photograph and signature of the candidate.

The exam is held in three stages — prelims, mains and the personality test to select officers for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS), and other Grade A and B posts in the central government and its departments. UPSC CSE preliminary exam will consist of objective-type questions. Candidates scoring above the cut-off marks will become eligible to register for the UPSC IAS Main examination.

UPSC CSE Main will be descriptive which will be followed by an interview round for the selection of candidates for the various services and posts. Candidates belonging to the OBC and PwBD categories will get nine attempts. There also exists relaxation in the number of attempts for the candidates belonging to SC and ST categories.

To be eligible for the exam, a candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on the August 1 i.e., the candidate must have been born not earlier than August 2, 1992 and not later than August 1, 2003, the Commission said while releasing the CSE notification.
