Anushka Sharma has been away from the screen for over seven years now. She was last seen in the 2018 movie Zero with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif.

The actor had then shot for Chakda Xpress, a biopic on Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami. Although the movie’s shooting was wrapped up in 2022, it was never released.

Recently, reports suggested that the makers of Anushka Sharma’s Chakda Xpress are now eager to release the movie, especially after the Indian squad lifted the Women’s World Cup trophy.

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have two children, a daughter, Vamika, born in January 2021, and a son, Akaay, born in February 2024. The couple has shifted their base to London, UK, to raise their children away from the intense media spotlight in India.
