SSC CGL Admit Card 2025 Release Date: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Friday postponed the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination 2025 scheduled to be held between August 13 and 30. The exam will now start from the first week of September 2025.
The Commission is yet to announce an updated schedule. As a general pattern followed by various government exam-conducting bodies, the admit cards are released 4 to 5 days before the exam. According to the same, SSC CGL students can expect admit cards to be issued this week.
The SSC CGL exam is conducted annually to recruit for Group B and C posts in various government departments. These include positions such as Income Tax Officer, Assistant Section Officer, Junior Statistical Officer, Assistant Audit Officer, and Accountant, among others. Candidates can check the department-wise list of vacancies and apply accordingly.
This year, there are 14,582 posts for groups B and C.

Step 2: Click on the register or login tab
Step 3: On the next window, insert the username or registration number and password (SSC registration password)
Step 4: Click on the login button, and from the next window, download the SSC CGL tier-1 hall ticket
Candidate will have to carry an original photo identity card having the same date of birth, including date, month and year as printed on the SSC CGL tier 1 admit card. The tier 2 of the examination will tentatively start in December 2025.
Candidates should avoid wearing items like nose pins, bracelets, earrings, charms, kadas etc. In case religion/ customs require candidates to wear specific attire, the frisking may take more time, and therefore, candidates should report at the venue of examination early. Candidates are advised not to bring bags or prohibited items into the examination venue. In case they bring any such item, they would have to make their arrangements for safe custody of such items.
The SSC CGL 2025 admit card will contain several details that candidates must carefully verify before appearing for the examination. It will include the candidate’s name and roll number. Additionally, the candidate’s category — such as General, SC, ST, OBC, or others — will be specified, along with their photograph and signature, to ensure identity verification. The admit card will also mention the exact date and time of the exam, helping candidates plan their schedule accordingly.
The address of the designated exam centre will be printed, along with the reporting time, which indicates when candidates should arrive to complete pre-exam formalities.
