Odisha teachers’ boycott Plus Two answer sheet evaluation

With teachers agitating before evaluation centres, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Odisha has convened an emergency meeting of the examination committee today to make alternative arrangements

The evaluation of answer sheets of Plus Two examination was on April 4 affected as block grant lecturers boycotted evaluation.

The teachers boycotted the answer paper evaluation demanding repeal of block-grant-mode of payment and implementation of grant-in-aid for them.

With teachers agitating before evaluation centres, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Odisha has convened an emergency meeting of the examination committee today to make alternative arrangements.

The Council has also decided on taking disciplinary action against the agitating teachers who prevent others from participating in the examination process.

“Stopping of evaluation of answer papers is not acceptable. Punitive action can be taken against them. They (teachers) are warned of disciplinary action. I have called an emergency meeting of the examination committee tomorrow to discuss alternative arrangements,” CHSE chairman Basudeb Chhatoi told reporters.
