Ruby completed her senior secondary education from a government school. Her first major challenge was affording fees for coaching. Because of their economic conditions, her parents were not able to support tuitions, however, her uncle then financed her NEET UG preparation for a year and enrolled her at a coaching institute for the right mentorship.

“I struggled at first and felt discouraged. After four attempts, I finally cleared the entrance exam. It wasn’t easy, and there were times I wanted to give up, but I refused to quit. I found videos from Physics Wallah on YouTube and joined their NEET UG crash course. Staying strong and working hard helped me push through and do my best,” said the YouTuber.

While she was preparing for NEET UG, Ruby taught some students in her village to manage her fees and other expenses. “Since our village doesn’t have coaching centres, I began offering tuition to students in my village who were as eager as me to study but lacked access to proper support. I still teach and have always found great happiness through helping students,” she said.

She further said that if she had given up then she would have never defeated poverty and depression.
