How did you prepare for NEET UG?
I took a two-year NEET UG online coaching from Allen Career Institute. I relied on the materials provided by them for my NEET preparation. I appeared for mock tests regularly which indeed helped me analyse my weak areas.
Moreover, I used to study all the three subjects everyday, revised what has been done in the coaching institute and studied for the tests set for the week.
Was it difficult for you to prepare for board exams and NEET UG simultaneously?
Preparing for the board exams and NEET UG together did not bother me because whatever I was learning for NEET UG was helping me in my board exams. During the year, I mostly focussed on NEET UG preparation, and shifted my focus to board exams only during the last months.

Did you get nervous during your preparation days? How did you destress?
I did get nervous during my NEET UG preparation. There are ups and downs everywhere. I used to get sad and demotivated by scoring low marks in the mock test sometimes. It is the combination of my hard and good days in preparation that has brought me to AIIMS New Delhi. I listen to music and devotional songs to destress myself.
What would you recommend to NEET UG 2024 aspirants?
– NCERT should be the main book for study. Ignoring NCERT would be a real blunder.
– Having a consistent study plan will make things easier
– Having confidence on yourself and a zeal to succeed

Once a topic is done and a one-time revision is also done on our own, one can start taking mock tests. It also depends on the students on how he/ she wants to take things forward. One mock test a month should ideally be done during the start of preparation.
When did your classes get over and how did you revise your topics thereafter?
My classes got over in November/ December last year. Between November and May, I revised the topics, appeared for mock tests and cleared doubts.
Did you find any question in the NEET question paper that was difficult to answer?

The assertion-reasoning questions in NEET UG were quite time-consuming. Although I got confused with the assertion and reasoning, I made sure I mark them correctly. The question statements in assertion reasoning are taken directly from the NCERT textbooks. Therefore, reading these textbooks multiple times and getting concepts clear will be enough to tackle these questions easily.
How has life in AIIMS New Delhi been?
Studying at AIIMS New Delhi has built confidence in me. Here, there are a lot of opportunities for research and students are provided with hands-on experience with practicals.
