NEET UG 2024 Results: Mridul Manya Anand remains in rank 1 after NTA revises result

It was the 17-year old’s first attempt at NEET UG this year. He scored 98 per cent marks in Class 10 and 91 per cent marks in Class 12. He is from Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

Anand’s interest in human anatomy and how diseases can be cured motivated him to take medical field. Speaking to the indianexpress.com, the topper shares his NEET UG preparation.

How did you prepare for NEET UG?

I was enrolled in a classroom coaching programme at Aakash Byju’s in my Class 10. In my coaching institute, we had a system of polls, meaning that if we studied NCERT in the evening, the next day we would have to solve 20 questions. I was able to recall and revise the concepts this way.

After my board exams were over, I appeared for section-wise tests and full tests from April. This way, I learnt how to approach the NEET UG question paper. 

How did you manage your preparation for board exam and NEET UG?

Both exams require the same kind of knowledge. The subjects physics, chemistry and biology are from Class 11 and Class 12. I was able to navigate through them with ease.

What option did you choose in the question on atom? 

I chose the one given in the new syllabus of NCERT. Although I went through the old syllabus as well to prepare for the medical entrance test, however, while marking the answer on atom, I made sure to select the option from the new syllabus.
