NEET UG 2024 Counselling: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has added a total of 614 seats in the second round of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024. The details about the additional medical seats has been updated at the official MCC website - mcc.nic.in A total of seven NEET UG seats have been added in five medical colleges of Andhra Pradesh, seven in four colleges of Maharashtra, and 600 in eight colleges of Telangana. While the medical seats in Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra are open to all genders, 50 per cent of Telangana seats are for female only. Additionally, a total of 6947 virtual vacancies have been notified for round 2 MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing admission. The virtual seats have been added in several colleges of West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Tripura, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Punjab, Puducherry, Odisha, Nagaland, Manipur, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Jharkhand, Jammu And Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, Delhi (NCT), Dadra And Nagar Haveli, Chhattisgarh, Chandigarh, Bihar, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Andaman And Nicobar Islands. Also, MCC announced on September 7 that of MCC of DGHS has received information that four universities have been granted 'Deemed to be University' status by UGC. Therefore, as per the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in W.P (c) No. 267/2017 in Dar-Us- Slam Educational Trust and Ors. Vs. Medical Council of India & Ors.”, the seats of following colleges are being included in the seat matrix for Round-2 of UG Counselling 2024 in larger interest of candidates. These medical colleges include Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad (200 seats); Malla Reddy Medical College for Women, Hyderabad (200 seats); Malla Reddy Institute of Dental Sciences, Hyderabad (100 seats); and Malla Reddy Dental College for Women, Hyderabad (100 seats).
