NEET UG 2024, BITSAT: List of exams whose registrations will begin in January

NEET UG will be held on May 5 while CUET UG will be held between May 15 and 21. The application window for CUET PG started on December 26, 2023 and will continue till January 24, 2024.

These exams will start their applications in January. Most exams will be held either in April or May (Express image/ file)

Several national and state-level undergraduate entrance tests for admission to the engineering, medical and pharmacy programmes are set to begin their application process in January 2024. While registration for JEE Main is already over and the exams for session 1 are set to begin on January 24, the application window for CUET PG started on December 26, 2023.

Here is the list of exams with their registration start and end date and the exam dates.

NEET UG

NEET UG is the single medical entrance exam in the country for admission to courses in medicine and the NEET UG 2024 is scheduled to be held on May 5 and applications will start towards the end of January.

BITSAT

BITSAT is held for admission to UG programmes in Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS). The BITS Aptitude Test (BITSAT) application window for the 2024 exams will likely begin their application in January. The admission details for the academic year 2024-2025 will be updated by the first week of January 2024, a statement on the BITSAT website said.

CUET UG

The Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) to shortlist candidates for admission to central universities across the country is scheduled to be held between May 15 and May 31, 2024. The CUET UG application start date is not announced yet.

MHT CET

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) scores are used for admission to engineering and medical colleges in the state. MHT CET 2024 will be held between April 16 and May 5, 2024.

AP EAMCET

The Andhra Pradesh’s AP EAMCET is held to shortlist candidates for admission to engineering, agriculture and pharmacy programmes in Andhra Pradesh. The exam dates are not announced yet, nor the exam conducting body has apprised the students about the application and notification dates.

KCET

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) as an eligibility test to shortlist candidates for admission to engineering, veterinary and pharmacy courses. KCET will be held from April 20 to 21, 2024, the application window will likely begin soon.

JEE Main

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is the sole bi-annual entrance exam at the Class 12 level. The application for the first session is over and the JEE Main 2024 application for the second session will open on February 2 and close on March 2, 2024.

There are several other entrance tests which are conducted for admission to UG courses including JEECUP, WBJEE, GUJCET and OJEE for admission to engineering programmes in Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Gujarat and Odisha respectively. The application for WBJEE 2024 started on December 28. The application forms will be released for the other entrance tests soon.
