NEET PG 2024: MCC allows candidates to resign counselling round 1, 2 seats till Dec 26

NEET PG Counselling 2024: In its recent notification, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has allowed the registered NEET PG 2024 counselling candidates to resign round one and two seats if they wish. Candidates with grievances wrote to the Committee through which the competent authority decided to allow candidates till December 26 up to 6 pm to resign from round one and two seats.

The Committee also shared certain guidelines for the candidates while resigning the allotted seats. Candidates have to make sure that the instructions are to be followed.

–New allotted candidates of the NEET PG 2024 counselling round-2 who joined their seat but now want to resign can vacate their seat with forfeiture of the security deposit within the stipulated time of resignation.

–Candidates who got upgraded in round 2 of the counselling and have joined the upgraded seat but now want to resign from their seat can vacate their seat with forfeiture of the security deposit within the stipulated time of resignation, December 26.

–Candidates will have to report physically at the allotted college to resign their seat, and read the notification, adding that such candidates are advised to ensure that their MCC NEET PG resignation letter is generated online through the official portal provided by MCC.

In case the student is unable to provide the online generated letter, the candidate’s resignation will be treated as ‘null and void’.

Meanwhile, MCC has asked all participating PG institutes to contribute seats for the NEET PG round 3 of counselling. Colleges will not have to contribute the seats that are vacant after round 2 due to non-reporting, cancellation or resignation by candidates.
