JEE Main Exam 2021 Day 4 HIGHLIGHTS: Today is the last day of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main 2021) February session and the candidates who have attempted the paper-1 in the morning reviewed it as moderate. In the last two sessions on February 25 and 24, the difficulty level of the paper reviewed as moderate. However, maths was tough in both the shifts of February 25, while chemistry was reviewed as difficult in the February 24 shifts.

Candidates' review of afternoon session

Amitabh Kumar who attempted in the afternoon session analysed the paper as moderately difficult. According to Amitabh, “The weightage was given on chapters from coordiante geometry, algebra. The chemistry has more questions from inorganic part compared to physical and organic. The questions asked in physics were easy and were from chapters of rotational mechanics, optics and vectors.” Check detailed analysis here

‘Paper tougher than previous session' 

Ramesh Batlish, head, FIITJEE Noida said that the paper was tougher as compared to papers held on February 24, however, the questions covered almost all chapters of CBSE classes 11, 12

Expert's take on paper 1 

According to expert, the difficulty level of the paper was of easy to moderate. Ajay Kumar Sharma, National Academic Director, Aakash (AESL) said that most of the questions were either directly taken from NCERT books or based on concepts. "Most of the students opined that the physics paper was the easiest followed by chemistry and maths," he said.

How was maths? 

The difficulty level in maths was moderate in nature. As per candidates, the questions were mainly asked from calculus, algebra. The weightage was given to chapters like vectors, matrices, probability, 3D geometry, complex numbers in algebra.

Chemistry reviewed difficult, check analysis

The chemistry was reviewed difficult in the morning session followed by physics, maths. As per candidates, the inorganic chemistry was given more weightage compared to physical and organic chemistry. The numerical based questions were tricky

JEE Main 2021 being held in regional languages

A total of 45,360 students will be taking the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main in Indian languages. Most of the examinees (6,70,332 students) have opted to appear for the JEE Main 2021 in the English language followed by Hindi which has 23,751 students. A total of 21,609 students will appear for the regional languages including Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. This is the first time, the exam is being held in regional languages.

Session 1 concludes

The first shift of the JEE Main 2021 February last session concluded on February 26. As per the candidates, the difficulty level of the paper was moderate. 

A total of 661776 candidates have registered to appear for the February attempt of which 652627 candidates will appear for paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.) and 63065 candidates will appear for paper 2A and paper 2B

JEE Main Exam 2021 Day 4 HIGHLIGHTS: A total of 6.61 lakh (6,61,776) candidates have registered for the February session, out of this, 6.52 lakh (6,52,627) candidates applied to appear for paper 1, BE or BTech exam.
