Ajay Kumar, the national academic director of Akash Institute claims that the morning shift of the JEE Main paper was easy to moderate difficulty. Among the three sections, he claimed that Physics was the easiest, followed by Chemistry, while Mathematics was considered the most challenging due to lengthy calculations in some questions.

He added that the distribution of questions was generally uniform, though certain units received more emphasis than others. Below is a detailed subject-wise analysis:

Physics

The Physics section in the morning shift was regarded as easy by students according to Kumar with the majority of the questions from Class 12 books. Topics like Mechanics, Waves, and Thermodynamics had minimal representation in this shift, while topics like Optics and Electromagnetism were more prominent. Questions from modern physics were moderate, whereas chapters like Electromagnetic Induction (EMI) and Magnetism were underrepresented.

Chemistry

The paper covered nearly all chapters in the morming shift, although certain units were more prominent like Inorganic Chemistry followed by Organic Chemistry, with fewer questions from Physical Chemistry. Overall, the Chemistry section was straightforward and allowed students to save time for other subjects.
