IISER Mohali invites applications for summer research programme

The application can be submitted through an online form at the official website of IISER. While filling the form one should be careful about providing all information correctly. Before confirmation of selection, tentatively offered candidates will be required to furnish documents to verify the information provided by them in the online application form.

This summer research programme 2024 will have two components:

(i) Research: which the student will carry out in consultation with his/her supervisor, and

(ii) Interdisciplinary Course Work: which will involve a series of lectures to be delivered by scientists working in various fields.

At the end of the summer programme, students are required to submit a report about their research approved by their supervisor. All students who successfully complete the summer programme will receive a certificate from IISER Mohali.

Candidates should remember that IISER Mohali will not provide any other stipend/ fellowship/ financial support for food, travel etc. Students may avail services of IISER Mohali hostel mess on payment basis. IISER Mohali will provide free of cost accommodation to the students in Category C. Other students will have to pay a nominal accommodation charges.

In the application process, applicants having their own scholarship to support themselves financially toward pursuing summer programmes will be grouped in category A. Some applicants may be supported, on a competitive basis, through SSR-SERB grants of individual faculty members, who will be grouped as category B, and all other applicants will be in category C.
