Hyderabad University opens spot round admission for MTech courses; GATE score required

Candidate with valid GATE score can seek admission in MTech courses in the University of Hyderabad by reporting physically on July 26.

University of Hyderabad: The University of Hyderabad has proposed to conduct a spot round admissions for their MTech courses. Candidates who have qualified the GATE exam are eligible to apply. 

The University of Hyderabad has opened the admissions for the following MTech courses: Bioinformatics, Materials Engineering, Nano Science and Technology, Manufacturing Science and Engineering, Integrated Circuit Technology and Microelectronics and VSLI Design.

The MTech program in Bioinformatics has a total of 17 seats. These seats are distributed as follows: 3 seats for the General category, 4 seats for SC, 2 seats for ST, 5 seats for OBC, and 2 seats for EWS and 2 seats for the physically handicapped. Similarly, Materials Engineering and Nano Science and Technology have a total 18 seats while Manufacturing Science and Engineering, Integrated Circuit Technology and Microelectronics and VSLI Design have 18, 15 and 3 seats respectively.

University of Hyderabad: Documents for spot round

The candidates who intend to come for the reporting are instructed to bring the originals well as a photocopy of the following documents:

– Class 10 marksheet of candidates seeking admission

– Class 12 marksheet of the applicants

– BTech, BE, MSc or any other qualifying graduation marksheet (provisional)

–  Reservation category certificate  such as SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD certificate (if applicable)

– The valid GATE scorecard of the candidate

The candidates are also advised to visit the official website – acad.uohyd.ac.in to know more about the courses offered, eligibility criteria, the payment of fees and the reservation policy of the university.

It is important to note that only the candidates who have a valid scorecard of GATE must report for the spot round admissions.
