GSEB SSC Supplementary Exam 2024: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) today started the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) application process for supplementary exams 2024. Students who were absent or marked fail will be eligible to apply for the GSEB SSC supplementary exam 2024 through the official website — gsebeservice.com.

Absent students and those placed under ‘needs improvement’ in the Gujarat Class 10 mark sheet 2024 will be permitted to improve their score in one or a maximum of three subjects through the supplementary exams. The last date to submit the compartment exam application form is May 22 till 5 pm.

Schools have to apply for the supplementary examination 2024 online from the board website — gseb.org. Girl students and PwD category students are exempted from paying for the compartment exams.

The state board informed that students who failed the standard mathematics can change the subject to basic mathematics while applying for the GSEB SSC compartment exam 2024.

“Students who have passed the Gujarat board class 10 exams held in March 2024 with basic mathematics (18) and are desirous of seeking admission in Class 11 group A and group AB science stream can apply online for standard mathematics (12) subject from the same school,” the board said.

The overall pass percentage in the GSEB Class 10 result last year was 64.62 per cent. This year, the results have improved substantially. While 1,389 schools registered 100 per cent result this year as against 272 in 2023 and 292 in 2022, only 264 schools have registered below 30 per cent result. Last year, schools with less than 30 per cent results increased to 1084 from 1007 in 2022.

Among the 33 districts, Gandhinagar has registered the highest pass percentage with 87.22 per cent students passing while Porbandar is the lowest at 74.57 per cent.
