GATE 2025 Application: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) registration deadline has been extended. Interested candidates can register online for GATE 2025 at gate2025.iitr.ac.in by October 3. GATE is an entrance test for admission to master’s and doctoral programmes and recruitment by some public sector undertakings.
Several public sector undertakings including Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) and Grid Controller of India Limited (GRID-INDIA) will use the GATE 2025 results to recruit candidates.
While the GATE 2025 results of papers in civil engineering (CE), chemical engineering (CH), electronics and communication engineering (EC), electrical engineering (EE), instrumentation engineering (IN) and mechanical engineering (ME) test papers for recruitment in NPCIL, the results of electrical engineering (EE) paper will be used in the recruitment of GRID-INDIA.
Moreover, a valid GATE 2025 score can be used for seeking admission to multiple programmes including:
– Master’s programmes and direct doctoral programmes in engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, arts or humanities, and
– Doctoral programmes in relevant branches of engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, arts or humanities, in the institutions supported by the Ministry of Education and other government agencies.
As a first, the Biological Sciences and Bioengineering (BSBE) Department at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Kanpur) will be admitting MTech students through GATE 2025 examination.
The GATE 2025 exam will be held in February over the weekends on February 1, 2, 15 and 16.
