IISc Bangalore GATE 2024 Result: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2024 (GATE 2024) result was declared today (March 16). The scorecards will be made available for download from March 23 to May 31. Once released, the scores will be available at the official website - gate2024.iisc.ac.in. The GATE scores will remain valid for three years from the date of the announcement of results. Qualification in GATE is also a minimum requirement to apply for various fellowships awarded by many government organisations. GATE-qualifying candidates can apply for admission or financial assistance in master’s programmes and direct doctoral programmes in engineering, technology, architecture and doctoral programmes in relevant branches of engineering, science, technology, architecture or humanities, in institutions supported by the Ministry of Education and other government agencies. GATE 2024: How to avail financial assistance? To avail financial assistance including scholarship or assistantship for a PG programme, the candidate must first secure admission to a programme in one of the centrally funded institutes. Depending on the norms adopted by the institute or a department of the institute, candidates may be admitted directly into a programme, based on their performance in GATE only; or based on their performance in GATE and an admission test or interview conducted by the department to which they have applied, or the candidate’s academic record. However, the admitting institutes could also prescribe a minimum passing mark in the test Candidates are also advised to check the complete details of the admission process and the availability of MoE scholarships or assistantship from the corresponding admitting institutes. The criteria for PG admission through GATE with scholarship and assistantship varies from one institute to the other. The management of the PG scholarship or assistantship is also the responsibility of the admitting institute. Reservation of seats for different categories will be as per the policies and norms of the admitting institute and the government of India rules. The admitting institute may also specify the number of candidates who will be provided financial assistance or scholarship, if admission is secured.
