DU Admissions 2024: UG applications from mid-May, PG from April 25

The PG admission at the University will begin for admission to 82 courses. The university will also open the registration window for three BTech programmes and two five-year integrated programmes.

DU Admission 2024: The University of Delhi (DU) will start the application process for admission to its postgraduate programme from next week. According to the Vice-Chancellor, Yogesh Singh, the university is starting the PG application process for 2024-25 academic year from April 25 and for undergraduate programmes from mid-May.

The PG admission at the University will begin for admission to 82 courses. Registration for admissions into the PG courses will remain open till May 25, officials said. The PG admissions this time will also include courses on MA Hindu Studies, MA Public Health, MA Chinese Studies, MA Korean Studies and Master in Fine Arts.

DU will also open the registration window for three BTech programmes and two five-year integrated programmes.

While the admission to BTech programmes this year will be through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), for BA LLB, it will be through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). According to the officials, this year admissions will be done on a total of 13,500 seats for post graduate (including Non Collegiate Women’s Education Board), 120 seats each for three BTech and 60 seats each for BA LLB and BBA LLB courses.

The university last year had also proposed to start joint degree, dual degree and joint research programmes.

Last year, the university accepted applications for UG and PG admissions through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) on the basis of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). While the CUET PG 2024 result is out, the CUET UG exam will be held in May.

This year, the CUET PG exam was conducted between March 11 to March 28 for about 4,62,603 unique registered candidates. A total of 190 universities (central/state/private and others) including DU are participating in CUET PG this year.

NTA this year has received over 13 lakh applications for the CUET UG. As per the data shared by NTA, a total of 13,47,618 students registered for CUET UG 2024.
