With Gill in ordinary form, there have been talks of bringing back Samson in the playing XI and put him on top of the order where the Kerala player had excelled last year. That would mean Gill might have to drop in at No 3 and Jitesh, who has looked in good touch, might have to sit this one out. The bowling in the last match was ordinary as well with Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah both having an off day. While the conditions in Dharamsala unlikely to favour a spin approach, India might go with the same lineup as of the Mullanpur match but might make a change in Lucknow for the 4th, depending on what impact the pacers, especially Arshdeep have in the proceedings.
