The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the second day of the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) on May 16. The second day of the CUET UG 2024 was conducted in approximately 1,578 examination centres across the country and abroad, NTA said. It also added that the second day of exam covered around 15.81 lakh test papers in subjects of economics (309), hindi (102), physics (322) and mathematics/ applied mathematics (319), completing 27.29 per cent of the total examination.
The attendances in economics (309), hindi (102), physics (322) and mathematics/ applied mathematics (319) were 85 per cent, 78 per cent, 77 per cent and 78 per cent respectively.
CUET UG began on May 15 at 2,157 examination centres across the country including 26 cities outside. On Day 1, the NTA concluded tests for 25,91,014 combinations, completing 44.71 per cent of the total tests. About 13.48 lakh unique candidates are taking the CUET UG this year in a hybrid format – CBT and pen and paper – for 57.95 lakh subject combinations.
In total, 72 per cent of the CUET UG 2024 examination has been completed in two days – May 15 and 16, NTA said.
Meanwhile, NTA has asked the candidates in Delhi to download updated CUET UG admit cards for the May 17 and 18 examinations.
NTA is conducting the third day of exam today for geography, physical education, business studies and accountancy papers.
