CTET 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on September 20 revised the examination date for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2024. Earlier, the Board had scheduled the examination date to be December 1, however, now the date is December 15 (Sunday). The examination will be conducted across 136 cities in the country. The CTET notification also mentioned that in case the number of candidates is higher in any city, the exam may also be conducted on December 14. CBSE has started the online application process from September 17 with the last date for submitting the online application October 16 up to 11.59 pm. The rest guidelines will remain the same as mentioned in the information bulletin, read the notification. In order to be eligible for the CTET 2024 December session, a candidate must be an Indian citizen, and at least 18-year-old, and have a minimum of 50 per cent marks in senior secondary or graduation, depending on the subject they are applying for. Applicants under the General and OBC categories will have to pay Rs 1,000 for one paper and Rs 1,200 for both papers to apply for CTET December 2024. The registration fee for SC, ST, and differently-abled persons is Rs 500 for the single paper test and Rs 600 for both papers.
