After months of waiting, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the results for the Common University Cum Entrance Test, Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2024. Universities across the country have started the admission process and will soon release the seat allotment lists.

India’s premier university, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is offering a course on library and information science. With 60 seats, enrolled students will learn about the fundamentals of library science, library classification, cataloguing, and management among others.
The programme aims to equip students with the practical aspects of descriptive and classified cataloguing of printed monographs using AACR-2, and CCC techniques. Additionally, these techniques will be used to derive subject headings using Sear’s List of Subject Headings and Chain procedure.
After completion of the course, students can expect the following job positions: academic library, special library, embassy library, publishing houses, media house, ministry libraries, and R and D libraries among others.

The Centre of Persian and Central Asian Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University is offering an undergraduate course in Pashto. The three-year full-time course admits students with a class 12 certificate as an eligibility for CUET UG. Students have to appear for the exam to get admission to the University. Only those students who have been selected for the Pashto language will be eligible for admission.
A student who will be enrolled in the course will learn about language’s oral expression, text, grammar, composition and translation, vocabulary, history, and culture of language among other topics.

The Bachelor of Fine Art (BFA) is a four-year undergraduate programme in painting offered by Jamia Millia Islamia. Students in the bachelor’s course are exposed to various other fields of arts like computer-aided art i.e. digital art, video art, and animation, along with some optional subjects such as printmaking, sculpture mural painting, etc. The course is credit based with a practical exam, and written test.
A student can complete this course in a maximum period of six years failing which she or he will not be entitled to the BFA degree. The whole course consists of 380 credits and correspondingly 4625 marks roughly divided into eight parts in eight semesters. Admission to the three-year undergraduate course in Delhi University’s College of Vocational Studies will need students to clear CUET UG. Students who pursue this course can expect job opportunities in business and large corporations. Students can apply at ugadmission.uod.ac.in.
In the course, students will learn about financial accounting, management methods, business law and correspondence, computing basics and applications, corporate laws, administrative policy, etc.
After completion of the course, students can expect the following positions in a business: secretary, office manager, legal assistant, professional analyst, and marketing and sales assistant among others.
This course is also provided by the Delhi University’s College of Vocational Studies. The three-year UG course will help students to know about some of the key concepts of entrepreneurship, organization, and management of MSMEs, institutional support, policy framework, business laws, marketing, and finances among others.
To pursue this course, students should have a certificate of passing Class 10 and 12 from a recognized board with a minimum of 40 per cent. No CUET UG scores are required to take admission in the course. Students can apply at ugadmission.uod.ac.in.
