CBSE Class 10th, 12th results 2025 this week: Sources

Last year, CBSE results for both class 10 and 12 were announced on May 13. A total of 22.39 lakh students appeared for the class 10 exam last year. Around 93.6% of those who appeared (20.95 lakh students) passed the exam.

The CBSE examination results are expected this week, official sources informed The Indian Express. Last year, CBSE results for both class 10 and 12 were announced on May 13. A total of 22.39 lakh students appeared for the class 10 exam last year. Around 93.6% of those who appeared (20.95 lakh students) passed the exam, with the pass percentage having seen a marginal increase of 0.48% compared to 2023.

Girls had performed better with the pass percentage among girls being around 2% higher than that for boys.

Around 2.12 lakh students had secured more than 90% in class 10 last year, while 47,983 students scored more than 95%, an increase from a figure of 44,297 in 2023. Among schools, both Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) and Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) recorded pass percentages of 99.09%, while other government institutions secured a pass percentage of 86.72%, and independent institutions recorded 94.54%.

In class 12, a total of 16.21 lakh students appeared for the exam last year, and 87.98% of them passed. A total of 1.16 lakh students scored more than 90%, and 24,068 students secured more than 95%, CBSE data shows.

Among regions, CBSE’s Thiruvananthapuram region recorded the highest pass percentage in both class 10 (99.75%) and 12 (pass percentage of 99.91%) last year, followed by the Vijayawada and Chennai regions.

Once results are declared, the mark sheet and migration certificates are being provided to students via DigiLocker. Students can access their DigiLocker accounts through a six-digit access code provided by the school.

Exams for both class 10 and 12 began on February 15 this year. Class 10 exams concluded on March 18, while papers for class 12 ended on April 4.

Around 42 lakh students are expected to have appeared for the exams this year, at 7842 examination centres in India and in 26 other countries.
