CBSE Board 10th 12th Result 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is scheduled to release the Class 10 and 12 board exam results this month. Once released, the CBSE results will be available at the official website — cbse.gov.in. However, the national education board has not released the declaration date yet.

A fake circular had been doing rounds on social media claiming that CBSE had released the result date for board exams. However, the CBSE officials have confirmed to indianexpress.com that no such notice has been issued by the Board yet.

A senior official from the national board explained that students should always ensure these two points to spot a fake CBSE notice from a genuine one:

— Always trust the official websites

If the notice is not on the CBSE website — cbse.gov.in — then it is not true. Every year, CBSE reiterates that whichever notice is circulated on social media (such as X, Instagram or Facebook) should not be trusted unless the same notice can be found on the official website.

— Spot the difference in dates

In majority of the fake notices circulated online by miscreants, the dates differ at various points in the notice. For example, in the recent notice, the date given at the top is April 28, whereas the month mentioned in the signature is February.

In 2023, the class 10 results were announced on May 12, and the overall pass percentage was recorded at 93.12 per cent. District-wise Trivandrum had come up as the best performing region at 99.91 per cent, followed by Bengaluru at 99.18 per cent, Chennai at 99.14 per cent, Ajmer at 97.27 per cent and Pune at 96.92 per cent.
