Around 13 lakh students appeared for the CBSE Class 12 examination. The results have been announced within 28 days of the last date of the examination. The Class 12 examination began on February 16, earlier than previous years.

Like last year, this year too, Microsoft had partnered with the CBSE to provide results through their app SMS organiser app. Students and parents can pre-register on SMS Organiser and receive the results as soon as they are announced by CBSE, even without internet connectivity.

Aishwarya Sinha from KV Raebareli secured the second position all over the country in CBSE class 12 exams. She shared this rank with two other girls. Aishwarya scored 498/500 marks (99.6 per cent) in humanities.
Though girls have outperformed boys in the Class 12th results, but among KVS schools, the boys have outshone girls. “A total of 32,640 boys passed the examination, while 30,586 girls cleared the examination successfully,” the notification mentioned.

CBSE Class 12 results 2019: The Kendriya Vidyalaya Schools have performed all time best with the overall pass percentage of 98.54 per cent. Last year, the pass percentage stood at 97.8 per cent. “Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has scored 98.54% success rate in CBSE class XII results 2019 against 97.78% last year. This pass percent of KVS is all time high and it has once again topped the category of all institutions for the second consecutive year,” read the official release.
Ajay Goyal from DCM Presidency School was the only boy in Ludhiana city to top a stream with 96.2 per cent marks. Next to him was Smridhi from BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School who got 96 per cent in same stream.
Arshpreet Kaur scoring 97.4 per cent in mass media and Lavanya Kapoor scoring 95.4 percent in Food Production- both from BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School- topped their respective streams. Arshpreet wants to be a journalist or an actor while Lavanya is aiming to be a nutritionist.

Gurleen aims to be data scientist, Niharika is aiming for Indian Foreign Services (IFS) and Asees wants to be an advocate.

Bihar and Jharkhand regions pass percentage is 66.73, far inferior to its national pass percentage of 83.40 per cent. Girls in the Bihar and Jharkhand region performed far better than boys, with 76.08 per cent of girls clearing the exam compared to only 61.57 per cent of boys. Still, the Class 12 board results have come as a blow to students — of 1,00,698 students had appeared for the exam from 1,300 CBSE-affiliated schools between February 15 and April 4 — across the region.
Delhi University is likely to begin its admission registration on May 20 and the process will go on till May 31, as per a tentative admission schedule approved by the Standing Committee of Academic Council in its meeting Thursday. The first cut-off list may be issued on June 14, officials said.
Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia took to Twitter after the results: “Congratulations students, teachers, parents and team education of Delhi government for beating your own record of last year’s class XII CBSE exam.”
In Delhi, following a trend which has been in place since 2015, government schools registered a higher pass percentage than the city’s private schools. With the private schools registering a pass percentage of 90.68%, the two groups of schools have a 3.61 percentage point difference in pass percentages. However, the city’s private schools also delivered an increased pass percentage from last year’s 88.35%.
Delhi government schools registered their best-ever performance in CBSE Class 12 examinations yet, with a pass percentage of 94.29% and with over 200 schools with a 100% pass percentage.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's son Pulkit Kejriwal has secured 96.4 per cent in the CBSE Class 12 exam, results of which were announced Thursday. Pulkit studied at a private school in Noida, a government official said.
Several Delhi ministers, including Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, congratulated Sunita Kejriwal on Twitter. "With God's grace and well-wishers' blessings, son has secured 96.4 percentile in CBSE Class XII. In high gratitude," CM's wife Sunita Kejriwal tweeted.
In 2014, the chief minister's daughter, Harshita, had also scored 96 per cent in her Class XII CBSE exam. Later, she had cleared IIT Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).

Girls outshone boys in the CBSE class 12 examination, the results of which were declared on Thursday way ahead of schedule, with Thiruvananthapuram region recording the highest pass percentage. "Girls have a pass percentage of 88.70 which is 9 percentage points more than that of boys' 79.40 per cent. Transgenders have a pass percentage of 83.3 per cent," a senior board officials said.
The board's Thiruvananthapuram region has the highest pass percentage at 98.20 followed by Chennai at 92.93 per cent and then Delhi at 91.87 per cent. The pass percentage in Delhi has improved from last year's 89 per cent.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat Thursday congratulated Gaurangi Chawla, a resident of Rishikesh, for ranking second in the CBSE Class 12 examinations. Rawat congratulated Chawla for her great performance in the exams and wished her a bright future ahead, as reported by PTI.
He also asked students who have performed below their expectations not to get disheartened and try harder to achieve their goal. Gaurangi, a student of Nirmal Ashram School, Rishikesh, scored 498 out of 500 marks.
The number of students appearing for the Class 12 exams also rose from 2,13,487 to 2,38,729. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the results of Class 12 examinations on Thursday with Delhi ranking third in terms of pass percentage after Trivandrum and Chennai.
"Congratulations parents, students and teachers. Congrats Delhi. Its a matter of pride for Delhi," Kejriwal tweeted. Sisodia said, "Congratulations to all the teachers, parents and my dear students. You have made me feel proud".

Balakrishnan, who is hearing-impaired since birth, credited her mother motivating her to work hard. "She always motivates me. I have never felt that there is a disability and I am incapable of something," she said.

Hearing-impaired student Lavanya Balakrishnan is the CBSE Class 12 topper in the persons with disabilities category. With 97.3 per cent marks, the Gurgaon girl wants to pursue a career in designing.
A student of the Heritage School here, Balakrishnan has scored a perfect 100 in political science. "I love the subject but I want to pursue a career in designing. I always made it a point to not study beyond six hours a day but I adopted the policy throughout the year rather than just struggling before the exams," she told PTI.
Union Minister Smriti Irani was on cloud 9 on Thursday not due to political reasons but her son scoring 91 per cent marks in the Class 12 CBSE examinations.

If a candidate is not happy with their class 12 or class 10 results which are soon to be declared by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), then they have the provision to apply for re-evaluation of their answer sheets. Students who need to have their marks verify can do so by making a payment of Rs 500 per subject.
Both the toppers Karishma Arora and Hansika Shukla want to pursue psychology honours for their undergraduate studies. While Shukla will be preparing for the Indian Foreign Services exam after her graduation, Arora said she likes to set short term goals and hasn't thought about her future plans yet.
Hansika's mother is an associate professor at a college in Ghaziabad and her father works as a secretary in the Rajya Sabha. Student of DPS Ghaziabad, Shukla told PTI that whenever she wanted to relax I listens to music. She followed a no social media policy because it is a huge distraction for her. "I never took any tuition but followed a disciplined routine on my own and cleared my concepts in the school itself," she added.

From 2019, the Central Board of Secondary Education has relaxed the passing criteria for Class 10 students. The students need to get a minimum of 33 per cent marks in theory and practical combined to declare pass in the subject. This means there will be no need for them to secure 33 per cent separately in both board exams and internal assessments. However, the board has not revised the passing marks for Class 12 examinations.
