CAT 2024 application edit window opens, know what can be edited

The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have opened the Common Admission Test (CAT 2024) edit window option for candidates. Candidates can only edit photographs, signatures and city preferences in the CAT application form from the official website — iimcat.ac.in — by September 30.

This option is only valid for candidates who have paid the registration fee and successfully registered for CAT 2024 by the specified deadline.

“Edit window for updating only the photograph, signature and city preferences, if required by the candidate, will be available from September 27 (10 am) to September 30 (5 pm), for those who have submitted their application forms successfully,” read the website.

In order to make the necessary changes, candidates have to log in to their dashboards using the required credentials. Once done, on the online application form only the photographs, signature and city preferences section will be clickable and are open to modify.  CAT aspirants are advised to upload the above documents in the required format.

This year, the CAT 2024 exam is slated to be conducted on November 24 at various exam cities across the country.

Candidates are requested to register using the email id and contact number active throughout the admission process. The authority will contact and communicate with the applicant through the registered contact details.

The test is conducted for admission to postgraduate and fellowship or doctorate level business courses offered by Indian Institutes of Management across the country (IIMs). Several non-IIM institutes also use the CAT in their admission processes.

Last year, a total of 3.28 lakh candidates registered for the CAT exam and around 2.88 lakh applicants appeared for the exam. Additionally, it was further observed that in 2023 the registration for various MBA entrance exam increased, by almost 30 per cent for CAT, 25  per cent for SNAP, and MAT by 18 per cent as compared to 2022.
