The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) will conduct a re-test for the students who were allotted the Patna’s Bapu Pariksha Bhavan as the exam centre. “We checked the CCTV footage and saw that some miscreants tried to create ruckus at that one centre, which created issues for a few other students. Keeping this in mind, we will conduct a retest for students of that one centre,” BPSC Chairman Parmar Ravi Manubhai told indianexpress.com.
Since the number of applicants in that centre are more in number, preparation for the re-exam will take time, Manubhai added. “There are a lot of logistics to keep in mind, such as venue, accommodation, paper setting, security and a lot more. So we are planning to conduct the re-exam in the second or third week of January,” he added.
He also said that all those who were found to be involved in this menace will be debarred by the Commission from appearing in any test in future. “So far, 30-40 such people have been identified and the police are at work to identify more,” the Chairman said.

The police have so far registered two FIRs in this connection, Patna District Magistrate Chandrashekhar Singh said on Sunday.
BPSC chairman had told indianexpress.comthat in one exam room, some students snatched the question paper from the invigilator’s hand and started yelling that the exam has been leaked — even though they had no contact with the outside for the past hour. After this, they ran out of the exam room with the envelope containing question papers and threw it to the other side of the boundary to give it to some people who were waiting outside the centre.
“Snatching question papers from invigilators and showing those to outsiders are tantamount to looting public property. Police action will be initiated against these persons who seem to have acted as a part of a conspiracy,” the BPSC Chairman added.
