Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) 12th Result 2023 Analysis: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), Patna today announced the Inter (Class 12) board exam result. Students who appeared for the exam can check their scores at the official website — biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in. Bihar education minister professor Chandrashekhar and chairman Anand Kishore announced the Bihar board Intermediate examination result 2023 along with toppers' names. As per BSEB, they have registered an increase in CBSE and other state board students. This time, 10,51,948 students have successfully cleared the BSEB Inter exams. The overall percentage is 83.70 per cent which is an increase of 3.70 per cent from last year's 80 per cent. Like every year, this year, too, girls have scored better than boys. This year, girls have topped all three streams — Science, Commerce and Arts Commerce topper, Somya Sharma, secured 95 per cent while the Science topper, Ayushi Nandan, earned 94.8 per cent. In the Arts/ Humanities stream, Mohaddesa got number 1 rank with 95 per cent. The Board will now reward Rs 1 lakh, a kindle and laptop to toppers of the three streams. For scrutiny, Candidates will have time from March 23 till 29 to apply for scrutiny at the official website. For compartment exams, the application form will be available from march 23 till 27. The compartment exam dates will be announced this week and the result will be declared by May 31. In the Science stream, 4,92,300 students cleared the exam (83.93 per cent). A total of 3,01,627 students have secured first division, 1,87,223 earned second division and 3,430 got third division. This time, 93.95 per cent students (46,180) have cleared the Commerce exams, out of which 30,475 had first division, 12,975 got second division and 2,730 students earned third division. In the arts stream, 82.74 per cent (5,53,150) cleared the exams, with 1,80,979 in the first division, 2,86,859 in second and 85,312 in third division. Meanwhile, the Bihar Board chairman Anand Kishore announced the prizes for meritorious Class 12 students. Each topper in all three streams will be given Rs 1 lakh prize money along with one Kindle e-book reader and one laptop. The BSEB will give Rs 75,000 with one Kindle and laptop to the second topper while the third topper will receive Rs 50,000 with a laptop and Kindle. The board has decided to Rs 15,000 and a laptop each to the fourth, fifth, and sixth rank holders. Bihar Board also announced Rs 25,000 for all unmarried girls who have passed in BSEB Inter exam 2023. Further, BSEB said that there will be a mentoring programme for Bihar Board Class 12 toppers in 2023. In case a student fails in one subject only by not more than 8 per cent marks or in two subjects by not more than 4 per cent marks in each, he/she will be given the marks he/she is short of. Also, if someone has obtained 75 per cent marks in aggregate but has failed in one subject only by not more than 10 per cent marks and cannot be allowed to pass under any other regulation, will be declared to have passed.
