AHSEC Assam Board revises HS 1st, 2nd year syllabus for 14 subjects

AHSEC HS 1st year, 2nd year Updates: The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) recently revised the Higher Secondary first and second-year syllabus. The revised syllabus has been uploaded at the official AHSEC website — ahsec.assam.gov.in.

“It is notified to all concerned Principals/Registrars of the institutions having H.S. Course under AHSEC that, the AHSEC has revised the syllabi of the following subjects (both HS. 1st & 2nd year) and same will be implemented from the Academic Session 2023-24,” the official notification stated.

As per the official notification, the syllabus has been revised for the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Business Studies, Geography, Sociology, Economics, Accountancy, Psychology, Political Science, Alternative English, Finance and Anthropology.

However, students should note that the syllabus for Alternative English, Finance and Anthropology has been revised only for second year. The syllabus for the rest of the 11 subjects has been revised for students of the both years.

In 2022, AHSEC announced the HS or class 12 board exam results on June 27, for the exams that were conducted from March 15 and concluded on April 12, 2022. In 2021, a total number of 2,49,812 candidates appeared for the examination out of which 38,430 candidates were from science stream, 1,91,855 were from arts stream, 18,443 were from the commerce stream and 1,081 students were from the vocational course.
