As the Opposition members stormed the well of the Lok Sabha over electoral rolls revision Monday afternoon, BJP MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy walked in and shook hands with all of them. The warmth was unmistakable as Congress MP Deepender Hooda would not even let go of Rudy’s hands as both engaged in a brief chat. The rather visible camaraderie reached a crescendo when the Opposition members briefly paused sloganeering and began chanting “Rudy, Rudy”. It is learnt that Rudy was thanking all the members following his victory in the Constitution Club of India polls where he defeated his party colleague Sanjeev Balyan. Many Opposition members are said to have voted for Rudy in the polls.
Dhaka Invite
The Union Home Ministry recently received an invitation for the four-day 56th Director General-level Border Conference between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Border Security Force (BSF), but it is yet to take a decision on sending the delegation. However, the BSF has started making preparations and is working on presentations to avoid last-minute hitches once the approval is in. The four-day conference begins on August 25 at the BGB headquarters in Peelkhana, Dhaka.
