The video captures the heated exchange that turns violent inside what appears to be a McDonald’s outlet
A disturbing video showing an Indian man being assaulted inside a Toronto fast-food outlet has gone viral, triggering outrage online. The clip, first posted on X, captures a heated exchange that turns violent inside what appears to be a McDonald’s outlet. The confrontation unfolds near the “Mobile Order Pick Up” counter, where a man in a Toronto Blue Jays jacket approaches another man who appears to be of Indian origin.
In the footage, the Canadian man throws his phone aside in frustration, prompting the Indian man to pick it up. The visibly intoxicated aggressor then charges at him, shoving and grabbing him by the collar while accusing him of “acting superior”.
When the Indian man calmly warns, “You might get yourself in trouble,” the other man snaps back, “Did you say that to me?” The situation quickly escalates as the man in the Blue Jays jacket continues to push him, demanding an explanation. Despite being provoked, the Indian man remains composed and refrains from retaliation.
Employees and bystanders eventually step in, urging both men to “take it outside.” The aggressor keeps yelling before being escorted out of the restaurant.

The viral clip has sparked fierce debate on social media. Many condemned the incident as “unacceptable,” while some criticised the Indian man for not standing up for himself. Unfortunately, a portion of the online discourse turned ugly, with users hurling racist remarks and telling Indians to “go back to their own country.”
One user wrote, “Yes, he is way better than him in how he handled the situation with 0 escalation.” Another commented, “Law and order in Canada is even worse than Bihar. Canada ka jungle raaj.”
Others used the moment to lash out at immigrants. “Canadians seem tired of uncontrolled Indian immigration,” one person wrote. “Indians can’t even tolerate people from other states, so think about them.”
Another user remarked, “Know the sad part? There were 2–3 Indians. They could have easily bullied him off in his own language. But then yes, I am own to Canadian dollars. Bull shit.”
The assault comes just days after another violent incident involving a 55-year-old Indo-Canadian businessman, Arvi Singh Sagoo, who was fatally attacked in Edmonton. Sagoo was reportedly punched by a stranger after confronting him for urinating on his car. He fell unconscious and succumbed to his injuries five days later, on October 24.
