He is best known for his epic fight scene with Amitabh Bachchan in the 1978 blockbuster Don. Always choosing the role of the evildoer,Bob Christo often played the stereotypical ‘firang’ right-hand man of the main villain. Christo, originally from Australia, starred in over 200 movies, and also acted in many Kannada,Tamil and Malayalam films. He took a hiatus from movies in 2003,but was making his comeback in a yet-to-be-named Akshay Kumar-starrer. But he suffered a heart attack in Bengaluru on Saturday, and passed away on Sunday. Christo was also a yoga instructor and,in his younger days,a visiting professor at business schools in the US.
