Sukate of MoD PRO office retires

PUNE: S G Sukate,Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) of Public Relations Office,Ministry of Defence,Pune retired on October 31 after dedicated service of 39 years. Sukate,who joined service at Public Relations Office,Ministry of Defence,Mumbai in 1974,was later on transferred to Pune in November 1975. “A warm farewell was given to Sukate in a solemn ceremony organized in PR Office,Defence,Pune. V N Tambekar,Retired PRO (Defence),Sanjay Arvikar,PRO (Defence) Pune,Subedar B D Patil,Gautam Ohal appreciated dedicated service and suggestions given by Sukate,while serving the organisation for nearly four decades,” said a press release issued by the PRO office.

GOC-in-C ARTRAC banner-cum-award ceremony held at CME

PUNE: ‘The General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C),Army Training Command (ARTRAC) Banner cum Award’ Presentation ceremony for autumn term 2013 of the Cadets Training Wing (CTW),College of Military Engineering (CME) was held on Saturday at CTWcin CME. The ceremony was presided over by Lt Gen Rakesh Mohan Mittal,commandant in CME. The ceremony was held for 35 Gentlemen Cadets (GCs) of Technical Entry Scheme-22 course who,after completion of one year of training at Officer Training Academy (OTA),Gaya,and three years of rigorous training at CTW,are on the threshold of being commissioned into the Indian Army as Lieutenants on December 14.
