At present central India has accumulation of moisture due to the presence of a western disturbance over the western part of the country. Two active troughs have also led to incursion of moisture, both from the Arabian Sea as well as the Bay of Bengal. Such moisture incursion would lead to isolated incidents of rain and thundershowers for Vidarbha, Konkan and North Maharashtra.
However, the IMD said Pune would not see much rain till March 7. Barring Sunday, Pune would see clear skies till March 7. However, the minimum temperature would drop while the maximum temperature is expected to drop by 3-4 degree Celsius. Clear skies and lack of moisture would see the city’s maximum temperature hover around 35 degree while minimum temperature would be around 15-16 degrees.
As per the IMD, March is set to be hotter than usual. Maharashtra is expected to see heat waves throughout the month. The maximum temperature is set to be higher than normal.
