Oscar Wilde once said,I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms,the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being. Expressions,the theatre society aims at bringing people of like-minded interests and a passion for theatre together. The theatre group is planning to stage an English musical play Fiddler on the Roof in September this year and is looking for people between the ages of 10 and 60. Anthony Burgess,the English author and poet,once said,Translation is not a matter of words only: it is a matter of making intelligible a whole culture. On Wednesday,Sandeep Nulkar,Chairman and MD,BITS,released a book titled Know Your Words Worth Translation as a Career,at Le Meridien. He said,With multinationals eying India as a business hub,translation will truly be the career of the future. Also present at the event were Anand Deshpande,who was the chief guest,and Padmashree Vijay Pandurang Bhatkar.The book covers several aspects and also speaks about the finer nuances of becoming a translator.
