Maay Mazi,an exhibition of paintings by artiste- Jagdish Chafekar was inaugurated by the hands of child singer Mugdha Vaishampayan and Dajikaka Gadgil on Thursday. Based on the theme- mother,this exhibition of oil paintings displays over 30 portraits of mothers of celebrities from various fields. Portraits of mothers of personalities such as- Vijay Bhatkar,actor Sachin Pilgavkar,Pallavi Joshi,hotelier Vitthal Kamat along with many others will be on display in the exhibition taking place at Balgandharva Rang Mandir Art Gallery between 10 am to 8 pm till Saturday.

Scent of a woman

On the occasion of International Women’s Day,Lokayat is organising a film festival on women oriented films. The films being screened will include Cant take it anymore by Meenakshi Rai,Do you know how we feel? by Girls Media Group,Mumbai memories of fear and Kya aapko pata hai? by Madhushree Dutta among others. The screenings will be followed by a discussion on Saturday,March 6,from 4 to 7 pm at Lokayat Hall,Near Nul Stop.
