Internship outcomes for the 2023–24 academic year further complemented the placement picture. Out of 213 students, 197 secured industry or research internships, while 16 worked under IIT Tirupati faculty members. The 2024 placement season marked a noticeable improvement in overall placement conversion at IIT Tirupati. According to placement statistics, the overall BTech placement percentage rose to 83.82 per cent. Branch-wise placement details for BTech 2024

When viewed in terms of branch-wise placement numbers, Mechanical Engineering emerged with one of the highest placement percentages at 79 per cent, while Chemical Engineering maintained close to 70 per cent conversion.

Computer Science continued to anchor the placement season in absolute numbers, with 37 students placed out of 51 registered, supported by strong average salary figures.
