Singing the Anna Tune

This Sunday,the ‘I Am Anna’ club and the Art India Foundation are organising an evening of art,music and prayers to support the efforts taken by Anna Hazare to fight against corruption. The Chatushrungi Temple premises will come alive between 5 and 7 pm and Pune-based band Chakra will take centrestage. This Sufi-Indi-Rock band has composed a song — Aana Aage Badho — which has already gone viral on YouTube from their channel ‘Chakratheband’. Band members include Alok Kulkarni,Yatin Gadgil,Salil Gupte,Abhijeet Kandharkar,Shikhar Chaturvedi,Suraag Subhedar and Sukhi Kalasi. Says Yatin,”We’ll perform the song live and also belt out some patriotic numbers. Some artists will also paint at the venue and citizens of all ages are welcome to join them. The evening will conclude with a special prayer for the success of the movement.
