Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh talks about his unpredictable nature, hobbies he is passionate about and desire to work in romantic films
After rendering one of his favorite songs- Zindagi Khwab Hai from the movie Jagte raho, which was sung by his grandfather Mukesh and after sharing his experience about singing his first play back Saayian ve in the movie Jail, actor Neil Nitin Mukesh had the crowd raving about his versatility. In Kolhapur for promotion of his movie Jail, the star was in his element.
Having done films such as- Johnny Gaddar,Aa Dekhen Zara,New York,Jail is yet another unusual pick by the choosy actor. When asked whether it has been a conscious decision to work in different kind of movies or it happened with time,he says,It has so far been a conscious decision to work in such films. As far as Jail is concerned, the story is about the life of a common man and I find it easy to relate to it. But yes,in future,I would love to follow my heart and do a lot of romantic flicks too.
The speculations about his entry into acting, especially after coming from a strong musical background surfaced once again after he sung- Saayian Ve remix version for Jail, but the actor himself seems to be convinced about each and every step hes taking in tinsel town. My father and grandfather have been singers and music is like an inborn passion I can never separate myself from. So when I was offered the song,I thought I should give it a try. In future too,I would like to sing for movies, says he.
Life doesnt stop at acting and singing for the 27-year-old. I love capturing nature,as it intrigues me. So I click, not only to make a good picture, but also because I feel amazed at how nature could be so beautiful. I am also into painting and sketching, he adds.
So whats next? “I am unpredictable and could also end up doing horror movies or anything out-of-the-box for that matter. With three out of four films having done well at the box-office,unpredictability seems to be working for him!
