Seeking Kabir
Through endless discussions,art,films,and many sessions of reading books and media articles,a group of 30 design students have been attempting a better understanding of 15th century philosopher-thinker Kabirs poems and songs. They have come up with Kal ke Kabir,a multi-faceted creative project that involves art,products,a workshop,exhibition and film screening among other things. As part of the project,in collaboration with Black Swan,the group will attend a Kabir-singing workshop on October 12 and 13 followed by a workshop conducted by well-known Kabir singer Kaluramji Bamniya from Malwa,Madhya Pradesh. This project will culminate into an exhibition on October 17 at Darpan Art Gallery. The paintings will be the personal interpretations of Kabirs message by the students.

Jumble Market held at The Yogi Tree,German Bakery Lane,Koregaon Park,has been spreading its roots since last year,while offering a unique opportunity for vendors and shoppers alike. Products range from handmade artifacts,clothes,accessories,home décor items and health products,among others. The market will be open on Sunday from 1pm to 9pm.
Music on Canvas
Arundhati Dhumale displays a series of paintings at an exhibition titled of Colours at Grubshup,Law College Road. She explores the spectrum of colours that make up the universe and effect our minds. Through her paintings Dhumale also transcribes the conversations between music,human mind and colours on the canvas. The paintings range from figurative to semi-abstract art and will be on display till October 15.
