Drum Time

After having performed across the city with their unique concept of the drum circle,Taal Inc in association with the Phoenix Marketcity will be hosting a drum circle today. The concept of the drum circle is simple,people come together sit in a circle and are handed out drums and percussion instruments so that they can play the same. The event will be held at Atrium 5,Ground level,Phoenix Marketcity 7.45 pm onwards.

Kick-Off

In keeping up with the fever of the Euro 2012,The Pune Marriott Hotel and Convention Centre will be screening the games live at their in house restuarants Spice Kitchen and Paasha. In addition to the screening a specially prepared international quick food menu featuring dishes like crumb fried fish fingers,barbeque supreme burger,Greek salad,meat balls in spicy tomato sauce along with specially prepared cocktails will be prepared for the Euro experience. In addition they will also be having lucky draws that will enable the customers to win gift vouchers.

Ocean of Strings

This is a jugalbandi across borders. One of Pakistan’s biggest names,Strings,is featuring Indian Ocean,one of India’s big sounds,in a song titled Humse Bada Nahi Dekha. The song is set to release in August and Rahul Ram,Indian Ocean’s bassist and vocalist,informs,“We didn’t visit Pakistan,they sent us the song and we recorded our bits and sent it back.” The song has been composed by Strings members Faisal Kapadia and Bilal Maqsood. It will be released in August until when Ram will keep mum about its theme. Indo-Pak amity? Ram denies this vigorously but will say no more.

Poetic Prints

AFter having enthralled audiences with his heart warming poetry poet Sudheer Moghe is exhibiting his collection of paintings titled ‘Rangdhun’. moghe who confesses that he has learnt his paintings after having observed the works of others calls his paintings Rangchitra as he feels it is a melange of vibrant colours soothing shades and greys,which are running into one another. The exhibition is on at the Bliss Art Gallery in Koregaon park till June 26 from nine am to six pm.
