Celebrating small
Madagascar 3’s massive success in India proves that there is a huge demand for children’s films. However, the gap is not being bridged and the country’s production of children’s films remains poor. However,Eleeanora Images in association with London’s Performing Arts Labs and with support from Children’s Film Society of India,is holding a screenwriters’ lab in August in Bhubaneswar. Interestingly, the screenwriters’ lab, known as Green Screen Lab,also intends to address the Green cause, inviting scripts that have the potential to educate children on environmental issues. The 18 selected screenwriters will attend the four-day workshop with known international and Indian talent, and will also be provided continued support for the following six months to help develop their projects for pre-production. “I hope with these labs we are able to give something back to the society, especially the new generation,” said Nila Madhab Panda,CEO,Eleeanora Images, who has made the film ‘I Am Kalam’.
