Around 11 am, the truck rear-ended a few vehicles near the bridge, causing a chain reaction. Some of the vehicles then collided with each other.A speeding truck collided with multiple vehicles near Pune’s Navale Bridge on Saturday morning, damaging 10 vehicles and causing minor injuries to a few people, the police said.
The police said their initial investigation has revealed that the truck was coming from Katraj towards Navale Bridge. Around 11 am, the truck rear-ended a few vehicles near the bridge, causing a chain reaction. Some of the vehicles then collided with each other.
Along with the truck, five cars, two tempos, a state transport bus and other vehicles were damaged in the mishap, police said.

A team from Sinhagad Road police station and traffic police rushed to the spot after receiving information about the accident. The police have launched a probe into the mishap.
The patch of the Mumbai-Bengaluru Highway between Katraj and Narhe, which includes the spot where the accident took place, is an accident-prone area. This patch of the highway also has two major accident black spots – Navale Bridge and Selfie Point.
On February 16, seven people were injured after a speeding dumper collided with a private bus near Navale Bridge.
