The Marathi film -Target promises to entertain the audiences in a non-traditional filmy way
A story of five guys and three girls who are being chased constantly by cops,is the plot of the new Marathi movie- Target that is slated for release on May 28. The film, which is a thriller, promises to entertain people in a non-traditional filmy way.
This is a different film not only because of the script, but because of the visible on-set chemistry that we all shared. Initially, there was a problem with the dates, especially with Siddharth, but once available; he was fun to work with. The shooting schedule was filled with exciting incidents. Once, while we were shooting in Bhimashankar, the cameraman got injured. The kind of cooperation displayed by the cast was matchless. And it is the same camaraderie that reflects throughout the film, says Rajesh Kolan, director of the film about the backstage happenings of the film.
The star cast of the film includes actors Sanjay Narvekar,Ankush Chaudhari,Siddharth Jadhav,Swapnil Joshi,Kranti Redkar,Tejswini Pandit,Smita Gondkar,Vinay Apte,Atharv Karve,Mansi Naik,Sanjay Mone,Satish Desai and others. Commenting on his role,Siddharth Jadhav says,Being new is the pre requisite of being an actor. In this film,I have tried to come out of my comic image. I have acted differently in order to bring out the real character in the film.
Sharing her on stage experience,Smita Gondkar adds,Tejaswni and I are from Pune and would come down to Pune some times during the shooting schedule. While going back,we would take tiffins for the rest of the crew and they would binge on the home cooked food that was otherwise difficult to get on the location. This was like a bribe because then, they would in turn help me understand the scenes better.
The crew witnessed a red carpet premiere for the first time when the film was premiered at Dubai on April 16. Speaking about it Kranti Redkar adds,This was the first time I walked on the red carpet. I must say it was a memorable experience. The grand welcome we received from the Marathi audience abroad was overwhelming.
