After visiting Jejuri,the Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) Sudhir Kumar has collated all information on the train derailment,which occurred near the place earlier this week.
Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) of Pune Madhusudan Dhamangaonkar said,The commissioner went to the spot and inspected the possibilities of how the accident could have occurred. As per the statutory procedures,we published a notice appealing the eyewitnesses or other people to come forward and give information about the incident. Responding to it,a few villagers and local doctors came forward up to share what they saw.
Once all the primary information is collected,it will be analysed and in the next few days,a report will be prepared, Dhamangaonkar said.
Eight bogies of the Mysore-Ajmer express had derailed near the Jejuri railway station on Wednesday. Thirteen passengers were injured of which,four sustained serious injuries.
